Purpose — Welding Technology
The Welding Technology program prepares students for careers in the welding and manufacturing industries through hands-on training in industry-standard welding processes, metal fabrication, blueprint reading, cutting techniques, and workplace safety. Students develop the technical knowledge, precision, and problem-solving skills needed to produce high-quality welds and fabricate metal components while preparing for employment in a wide range of manufacturing, construction, and industrial careers.

Purpose — Welding Technology Advanced
The Welding Advanced program builds on foundational welding skills by preparing students for careers requiring greater technical proficiency, precision, and versatility in the welding industry. Through extensive hands-on training, students develop advanced skills in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG), pipe welding, carbon arc gouging, and welding inspection techniques. Students strengthen their ability to interpret blueprints and welding symbols, apply industry safety standards, and produce high-quality welds that meet professional specifications, preparing them for employment in manufacturing, construction, fabrication, shipbuilding, and other skilled trades.
